Jenifer Steig

Jenifer Steig has over twenty years experience with a diverse background in real estate sales and marketing, market strategy, investment, appraisal, interior design and project management. Since joining The Cheshire Group in 1995, Ms. Steig has created and implemented marketing strategies for the portfolio. Ms. Steig supervises all of the sales and marketing activities of the Cheshire Group. This includes overseeing on-site sales programs and all creative work related to marketing, repositioning and re-branding existing properties, managing resale brokers, coordinating renovations of sales inventory, negotiating contracts and insuring that all Cheshire offerings remain compliant with Attorney General regulations.

Ms. Steig holds a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. She is President of the Achieve Foundation of South Orange and Maplewood, an educational foundation serving the public school district of these two New Jersey towns. She previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Community Housing Corp. of Metropolitan New Jersey, the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the Township of Maplewood, and the Maplewood Village Alliance. She is a licensed real estate broker in New York and New Jersey.


Susan Hewitt

Susan Hewitt has over twenty-five years experience as a developer, manager, and investor in New York City’s residential market. Prior to founding The Cheshire Group, she oversaw the condominium conversion of 421 Hudson Street and 305 Second Avenue and the coop conversion of 66 Pearl Street. Her prior experience includes the conversion of commercial buildings (including mills, lofts, and factories) to residential and office use, as well as the management of regulated and free market rentals in New York City and the northeast.

Ms. Hewitt holds an AB in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, a licensed real estate broker, a past president of the Association of Real Estate Women, and a past Chair of Habitat for Humanity-NYC. She is a Vestryman of Trinity Wall Street and a former trustee of the Grace Church School and The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
